Baked French Fries with a flavorful twist!
Who doesn’t love french fries? I have to say they are definitely a weakness of mine. With the warm nights approaching french fries are great alongside burgers or steaks made on the grill!
I thought I’d find a way to make really delicious fries that are baked as opposed to fried in order to save calories! And I really love the way these turned out! The mustard powder with a hint of cayenne really gives them a great boost of flavor! And of course, you can always add as much cayenne as you like, but we all know I’m a sissy when it comes to spice!
They are so simple and have come out perfect every time!
- 2 Large Russet Potatoes
- 2 TBSP Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Mustard Powder
- pinch Cayenne Pepper
- S+P to taste

How to Make the Fries:
1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
2. Slice your potatoes into equal size strips about 1/3 inch thick.
3. Place them in a bowl of cold water after cutting them up.
4. Drain off the water and dry thoroughly.
5. Place them in a large ziploc bag and add the oil and seasoning, mixing it all around so that everything is well coated.
6. Spread them out on a cookie sheet, I lined mine with parchment paper.
7. Cook for about 30 minutes, or until they reach desired crispiness, turning occasionally.
Bon Appétit!
